HK$ 2.9 Million Donation

Johnson Electric and employees donate HK$ 2.9 Million to earthquake relief.

Immediately after the earthquake, Johnson Electric donated HK$ 1 million to the Liaison Office of the Peoples Republic of China in Hong Kong, who will send the funds to the relief effort in Sichuan. An employee contribution scheme in China and Hong Kong, and many other locations has raised the equivalent of HK$ 780,000.  This amount will be donated to the Red Cross, to support their relief efforts in the disaster area.  Johnson Electric will more than match that amount by contributing Reminbi 1 million (HK$ 1.13 million) to the Shajing, Shenzhen Government’s earthquake relief fund.

As all of us are aware, the situation is still very bad in parts of Sichuan. A massive amount of work needs to be done to rebuild the lives of the people of Sichuan and reconstruct the infrastructure of the province.  The officials of the Chinese government and the Red Cross have expressed their thanks to Johnson Electric and our people.
