Johnson Electric Launches Smallest Magnetic Latching – Solenoid Highest force for battery operation
Hong Kong, 30 May, 2013 – Johnson Electric today announced a new magnetic latching solenoid platform for compact locking mechanisms. Locks of all varieties including those found in vaults, safes, medical devices, data storage and industrial equipment require compact and powerful solenoids in electrically coded or biometric access systems. Magnetic latching solenoids allow the mechanism to remain in the locked position without consuming any energy and remain secure in the event of power failure. Launched under the Ledex brand, the B12-L platform will be customized to meet the unique force profile and electro mechanical requirements of each customer. The B12-L platform provides the highest power density battery operated solenoid in the smallest package size available in the industry.
“The demands of security equipment designers are not satisfied by standard solenoid products” said Jim Dick, Johnson Electric’s senior vice president of Strategic Marketing. “This new Ledex solenoid technology is designed to be tailored to meet the exact requirements of each customer,” he added.
