Johnson Electric has designed a hand dryer product line to align with the user segmentation within this application. Hand dryer segments are high traffic, average traffic, and low traffic. From sports arenas to office buildings and small restaurants, each have different product requirements. The high traffic segment needs very fast drying time and long life but noise is less important. For this segment, an EC blower (brushless) has been developed to deliver the high air power required in this application. The new EC blowers with brushless motor technology provide the highest air flow to dry hands in half the time, with operating life increased by five times versus traditional blowers. For the average traffic segment, a long life Universal motor blower has been developed to provide effective hand drying in this application. For the low traffic segment where low noise is most important, a standard AC blower is available.
